COVINA : Youth Volunteer Award Bids Open

Applications are being accepted for the ninth annual Youth Volunteer Award sponsored by Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas).
Open to high school students ages 14 to 18 who live in the 28th Congressional District, the awards will be given in June to the volunteer of the year and three runners-up. Applicants must document their volunteer service, write an essay describing the benefits of their service to the community, submit a letter of reference and have an informal interview with the award council. Applications are available in the congressman’s district office, 112 N. Second Ave., Covina, at (818) 339-9078.
