USC : High School Leaders to Meet at University

The University of Southern California will host its first High School Leadership Conference on International Affairs for high school students and teachers from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on campus at the Von KleinSmid Center for International and Public Affairs.
The program, “Southern California’s Global Agenda,” will feature career panels, interactive exercises and discussions led by international relations experts.
Discussion topics include trade and development, governments and global environmental problems, immigration policies, cultural differences and conflict.
Edwin M. Smith, USC professor of law and international relations, will deliver the keynote address, “Ralph Bunche: Out of Los Angeles,” on the Nobel laureate who grew up in South-Central.
