ANAHEIM — Nebraska has been invited to play in the Aug. 29 Disney Pigskin Classic at Anaheim Stadium, Don Andersen, the executive director of the Orange County Sports Assn., said Sunday.
Nebraska, expected to be ranked in the top five of many preseason polls, has yet to respond.
“They’re interested, but we haven’t firmed anything up at this point,” Andersen said. “We hope to in the next couple of days.”
There is no word on an opponent for the Cornhuskers, but Wisconsin is believed to be under consideration.
