Do you have credit problems? Are you short on cash for a down payment? Do you need to refinance but have no equity? Do you qualify for special mortgage assistance?
If these are your questions, bring them to the fifth annual Times’ Home Buyers and Sellers Fair, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The one-day consumer education event will offer a workshop on credit problems and how to solve them. Also on hand will be the Consumer Credit Counseling Service, a nonprofit agency that advises homeowners and buyers on their individual problems.
For those interested in refinancing but worried about their equity or ability to qualify, a special workshop will be held in conjunction with Mortgage Originator Magazine.
A special “Paths to Homeownership” exhibit area, sponsored with Fannie Mae, will include representatives of government agencies such as the City of Los Angeles Housing Department, California Housing Finance Agency, FHA, VA and the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
Home-buying panels will be conducted in three languages: English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. For details, please see ad on Page K4.
