ALISO VIEJO : Baseball Games Open at Woodfield Park
- Share via
When the 300 youths who participate in the Aliso Viejo Little League run onto the field today for opening day of the season, it will be one to remember.
Baseball players ages 5 to 18 will play on four new diamonds at Woodfield Park--the first Little League facility in the unincorporated community. One of the four fields has lights so that games can be played at night.
To recognize the occasion, there will be a park dedication at Woodfield Park at 9:45 a.m., a procession of players from the 26 teams in the leagues, followed by the first pitch of the opening day game at 1:15 p.m.
The Mission Viejo Co. built the park, which is at 26812 Woodfield Drive.
