Bad Weather Cancels Race

MAMMOTH LAKES — High winds, snow and poor visibility prompted the cancellation of Friday’s World Cup super-giant slalom women’s ski race here. It will not be rescheduled.

The super-G was not on the original schedule, which called for a super-G Wednesday and a slalom Thursday. Last week, however, Mammoth officials agreed to add it as a make-up for an earlier cancellation in Europe.
