SOUTH VALLEY : High-Schoolers Eligible to Enter Art Contest

High school students in the 34th Congressional District are eligible to submit work to the 10th annual Congressional Art Competition.
The competition sponsored by Rep. Esteban E. Torres (D-Pico Rivera) includes Bassett, Hacienda Heights, City of Industry, La Puente, Rosemead, and South San Gabriel.
The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol with works by students from across the nation.
Students may submit one entry, which can be a painting, drawing, collage or print, by April 21 to Torres’ Pico Rivera office, 8819 Whittier Blvd., No. 101.
Artwork must be original (not reproduced from any existing photo, painting or other artwork), two-dimensional, no larger than 30 inches by 30 inches, and must not violate U.S. copyright laws.
