PREP ROUNDUP : Tustin Sweeps Way to Foothill Volleyball Title

Tustin High won all 12 of its games in winning the championship of the Foothill boys’ volleyball tournament with a 15-8, 15-11 victory over Los Amigos in the title match Saturday at Foothill High School.
Junior Donnie Rafter had six kills in the championship match and was named to the all-tournament team.
Tustin defeated Canyon, 15-8, 15-11, to advance to the championship match.
Curtis Jackson had eight kills in the semifinal match and seven in the final for the Tillers.
In Sunset League baseball:
Edison 6, Ocean View 4--Ryan Langdon hit a three-run homer in the third to give Edison (6-2, 1-1) the lead, 5-4. Todd Belitz (2-0) pitched a complete game and struck out 14. Ocean View is 5-3, 0-2.
In the Anaheim Lions baseball tournament:
Anaheim 2, Kennedy JV 0--Robert Jimenez pitched a no-hitter with five strikeouts for Anaheim (5-5). Jimenez had a perfect game for 6 1/3 innings, but lost it on an infield error.
Fullerton 10, Santiago 2--Keith Ginter had a two-run homer and Robert Echavarria added three RBIs for Fullerton.
Loara 8, La Habra 2--Mike Boomsma had two hits and two RBIs in Loara’s first-round victory.
Laguna Beach 1, Kennedy 0--Ryan Sauers threw a no-hitter, striking out seven and walking three for Laguna Beach (4-3). Freshman Justin Berti scored in the top of the seventh inning for the Artists.
Paramount 7, Sunny Hills 7 (4-1 tiebreaker)--Paramount (6-5-1) advances to the next round on a tiebreaker. The team which leaves the most players on third base is considered the winner. Sunny Hills is (3-6-1).
In the Pride of the Coast baseball tournament:
Corona del Mar 8, Rancho Alamitos 0--Myles Davis had a three-run homer in Corona del Mar’s first-round victory.
Estancia 3, Bolsa Grande 1--The Eagles’ Jose Cabrera struck out five batters, walked one and had a no-hitter until the fifth inning, when he gave up a bloop single to center.
Newport Harbor 7, Orange Lutheran 4--Scott Sandstrom had two hits and three RBIs for Newport Harbor (3-6) in a pool-play game. Phil LeBrecht had a home run for Orange Lutheran (2-6).
In the Santa Ana Easter baseball tournament:
Diamond Bar 7, Orange 1--Thomas Simmons hit a three-run homer in the second inning for Diamond Bar (7-2). Simmons finished with two hits and three RBIs. Teammate Johnny Schmidt also hit a home run in the second.
George Marshall (Va) 3, Valencia 2--Dan Lincavage gave up only eight hits for Valencia (3-6) in a first-round game.
Pacifica 7, Mission Viejo 1--Jeff Depippo led off the game with a home run. He also had a double and two RBIs for Pacifica (5-6) in a first-round game.
