The poster for this year’s Imagination Celebration of Orange County was designed by El Modena High School junior Heather Wilson, 17, who has “been drawing since the first moment I learned how to use my left hand.”
The event, in its ninth year, kicks off Saturday and then runs continuously April 23 through May 1 at a variety of locations throughout the county. More than 150,000 are expected to participate in the festival, which will include performances by well-known entertainers as well as local bands, orchestras and choirs; art displays and hands-on workshops.
The art festival, designed to encourage creativity in youth is presented by the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the Orange County Department of Education.
