L.A. Gear Settles Michael Jackson Suit: The athletic shoe company said it has agreed to settle the lawsuit it filed against the singer in Los Angeles Superior Court in September, 1992, alleging that he breached an endorsement contract. Santa Monica-based L.A. Gear and Jackson agreed to dismiss claims against each other under the terms of the agreement, according to a statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. L.A. Gear said the terms of the settlement are confidential.
