K-Swiss Reports 34% Hike in 1st-Quarter Profit

K-Swiss Inc., a Chatsworth athletic footwear maker, reported a 34% increase in its first-quarter profit as its revenue from domestic shoe sales rose 10% and its interest expense fell.
In the three months that ended March 31, K-Swiss earned $4.62 million on a 5% gain in total revenue, to $45.5 million. A year before, the company had net income of $3.45 million on $43.6 million in revenue.
