In other South Coast League games:
Mission Viejo 6, Dana Hills 4--Freshman Jason Marian had two hits and scored twice for Mission Viejo (4-20, 1-14). Dana Hills (13-12-1, 8-7) finished third.
El Toro 3, Mater Dei 1--Ryan Fullerton went three for four, had one RBI and scored once to lead second-place El Toro (17-9, 9-6).
In the Century League:
Canyon 5, Villa Park 0--Brent Patterson pitched a four-hitter and Eric Valent drove in two runs for eighth-ranked Canyon (20-5, 13-2).
Orange 4, Santa Ana Valley 3--Nick Estrada’s bases-loaded single with no outs in the seventh inning lifted Orange (15-10, 8-7). Estrada had two hits and two RBIs. Orange will qualify for the Division II playoffs if El Modena defeats Foothill today. Santa Ana Valley finished 9-15, 6-9.
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 1, Buena Park 0--Ryan Golisano pitched a three-hitter for host Fullerton (20-5, 12-3). Golisano (11-1) struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.
Sunny Hills 3, Troy 2--Carlos Herrera scored the winning run in the fifth inning and pitcher Jimmy McQuire got his sixth save by getting a strikeout with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh inning. Herrera had a hit and two RBIs for Sunny Hills, which finished second in league at 13-13-1, 9-6. Troy (14-10, 7-8) qualified for the Division II playoffs as the league’s No. 3 team.
In the Sea View League:
Tustin 2, Santa Margarita 1 (8)--Jon Lauderdale hit a home run in the eighth inning to lead Tustin (21-5, 13-5). Brian Moody scored the Tillers’ first run on Scott Ahern’s sacrifice fly in the third inning.
Irvine 6, Corona del Mar 2--Tommy Louie pitched a three-hitter for Irvine (15-12, 8-6). Louie also went three for three with an RBI and a stolen base. He went six for six with four stolen bases in Irvine’s two games this week.
In the Sunset League:
Marina 6, Edison 3 (9 innings)--The Vikings (17-9, 7-6) scored three in the ninth to win a game that was played last week and protested by Edison (15-7-1, 6-6-1). The game resumed with two outs in the sixth. Edison tied the score, 3-3. Travis Anderson had a two-run single in the ninth to give the Vikings the lead. Marina plays at Huntington Beach today with the winner qualifying for the Division I playoffs.
