Where Art Stops and Assault Begins

Men hanging by their genitals is not artwork and does nothing to increase the debate that rape is a brutal crime (“Confronting the Reality and ‘Morality’ of a Brutal Crime,” May 4).
This “artwork” is nothing more than an all-out call for violence against all men.
To increase debate and in the name of gender equity I’d like to suggest another exhibit, this one depicting violence against men. How about John Wayne Bobbitt lying in bed bleeding to death, while Lorena swings from the ceiling, hanging by her genitals? Now that’s art.

“Morality/Mortality” may be “art”; it is also ugly, sadistic and insensitively forced upon thousands of passersby.
