IRVINE : Picnic for Those With Disabilities

People with developmental disabilities and their families are invited to attend a picnic June 5 at Northwood Park.
The event, sponsored by the city and the Soroptimist International club of Irvine, will include a barbecue lunch, music, dancing, games and face painting. A petting zoo will be featured, and people can view a police car and fire engine.
The picnic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to people with developmental disabilities and their families. People must register with the city by May 31.
