BRIEFLY : Radio: ‘Which Way, L.A.?’ Wins Award

The KCRW radio show “Which Way, L.A.?” has won the Radio-Television News Directors Assn.’s 1994 regional award for best radio series produced by a small staff.
The program, hosted by former local television anchor Warren Olney, won in the Arizona, California and Nevada region. Regional winners are automatically entered in the national competition for the association’s Edward R. Murrow Awards, to be announced in Los Angeles on Oct. 12.
“Which Way, L.A.?,” started two years in response to the riots, uses a talk-show format to address a variety of issues facing Southern California. The one-hour program is broadcast Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. and rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
