Cypress Defeated in 18-Inning Game

Lisa McKinley hit a ground ball to second and Ruby Rubio scored on a wide throw to the plate as the College of the Sequoias defeated Cypress, 2-1, in 18 innings at the State Softball Tournament Friday at Visalia.
Kristi Krebs had two hits for Cypress (39-11).
The College of the Sequoias (43-16) will play Palomar in the semifinals today. Cypress will face Fresno at 10 a.m.
