Virgin Records Chief Gets Senior EMI Post: Ken Berry has been named to the new post of president and chief executive for EMI Records Group International effective Sept. 1. Berry will continue as chairman and chief executive of EMI’s Virgin Music Group, adding the job of overseeing EMI Music’s recorded music operations outside of the United States and Canada. Separately, EMI Music announced its profit in the fiscal year ended March 31 increased by 25% to $364 million, while sales rose 16.8% to $2.6 billion.
