Voters in the June 7 primary will find an incumbent in only one of the seven races for statewide offices below the rank of governor. The rest are open-seat contests in a particularly competitive year for statewide office, with wide-open campaign free-for-alls. Also listed on these Statewide Offices pages: an incumbent facing a serious challenge to his regional seat on the five-member Board of Equalization.
