Cofer Leads Pack to Win USAC Midgets Race

VENTURA — John Cofer of Macdoel won the USAC Midgets main event at Ventura County Raceway on Saturday night.
Rob Hansen of Simi Valley claimed a Dwarf Division title and Richard McCormick added a Three-Quarter Midgets victory.
Robert Dolacki of La Puente and Gary Howard of Oxnard finished second and third, respectively, in the Midgets main event.
Tim Brusseau of Pasadena placed second in the Three-Quarters Midgets race. Mark Hart of Ventura was third.
