News, Tips & Bargains : Courting a Tour in Washington
- Share via
Have a hankering to watch the Supreme Court in action? The court is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but guided tours (led by a court staff member) are available only if they have been arranged in advance through your congressional representative’s office. The court recommends making arrangements at least two months in advance.
The alternative is to attend a free lecture (given every hour on the half-hour beginning at 9:30 a.m.) and then tour the building on your own. You may also watch the court in session. For more information, call the court information line, (202) 479-3211.
