ALTADENA : Area Firefighters Hold Wildfire Drill

Hundreds of firefighters from neighboring cities last week practiced tackling a wildfire in the area where the Altadena fire destroyed 126 homes last fall. The Oct. 27 fire, started by a transient to keep warm in the Angeles Forest above Altadena and the Kinneloa area, devastated more than 5,600 acres.
The two-hour drill on Thursday, which included water drops by helicopters, involved firefighters from Los Angeles County, Pasadena, Burbank and Glendale, said county fire officials.
