Discipline Case

I am quoted in a June 5 article reporting that a federal court committee recommended discipline for lawyer Stephen Yagman, after a three-judge panel found that he made charges against a federal judge “falsely and without foundation.” In discussing the kinds of statements the 1st Amendment does not protect, I used the phrase “wild ad hominem charges,” which the article quotes. Yagman has written to tell me that this phrase does not accurately describe his particular alleged charges. I retract any contrary implication.
