LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Motorists Warned of Holiday Delays on I-5

Caltrans on Thursday advised motorists to expect travel delays over the July 4 holiday weekend heading toward Los Angeles via the southbound Golden State Freeway between Wheeler Ridge and Ft. Tejon.
The No. 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound I-5 are closed because of ongoing construction work, Caltrans spokeswoman Margie Tiritilli said.
The $10-million shoulder-widening and rehabilitation project in Kern County is not scheduled for completion until mid-1995, she said.
