Nelson Eddy and Jon

Re “Like Father, Like Son” (Morning Report, June 24): Check any legitimate biography or legitimate Hollywood source, and you will see that singer Nelson Eddy had no children, let alone a son named Jon who sings his “father’s” old songs. This appears to be another Hollywood impostor, trying to cash in on a deceased star’s fame.

Vol. 16, Issue 48 of MAC/EDDY TODAY, a publication of the Jeanette MacDonald/Nelson Eddy Friendship Club Inc. (101 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, N.J. 07666), asserts, without documentation, that Eddy had a child, Jon, by an unnamed opera singer.
