EAST VALLEY : Local Water District to Increase Rates 5%
- Share via
The Walnut Valley Water District, which services Diamond Bar and parts of Walnut, West Covina, Duarte, Industry and Rowland Heights, will increase its rates beginning Aug. 1. The rate will increase from $1.30 to $1.37 for each 100 cubic feet (748 gallons) of water used. For the average consumer, the cost of a two-month bill will increase by about $2.50.
The 5% increase will affect 100,000 residential and commercial users. It is a result of increased costs for wholesale water from the Metropolitan Water District.
