Avenue Cleanup
As west Ventura taxpayers and registered voters, we would like to see the rebuilding, revitalization, rejuvenation and cleanup of Ventura Avenue.
Given many years of deterioration and neglect and with the avenue’s history as the economic heart of our great city, reinvesting in our community is the least we can expect. Even with today’s constraints on public revenues, we are convinced that the benefits of this investment in Ventura Avenue’s infrastructure far outweigh any fiscal concerns.
We invite all Venturans to volunteer their time, labor, economic resources and, most of all, their moral and vocal support for the renewal of the avenue. We would like to start the renewal by asking our Ventura City Council and city officials to approve and fund the repair of the crumbling sidewalks along Ventura Avenue and construction of curbs and sidewalks where they have never existed.
We also extend an open invitation to our business community, schools, churches, clubs, societies, associations, agencies and many other organizations to contribute and join us in the renewal, revitalization and cleanup of Ventura Avenue.
