A man was killed after he was struck by three cars on the westbound Ventura Freeway in Agoura Hills early Saturday, authorities said.
The 31-year-old man was walking on the freeway west of the Liberty Canyon Road exit about 2 a.m. when he was hit by a car going about 55 m.p.h. said Officer Bruce Ferrier of the California Highway Patrol. The car then spun out and hit the center divider, he said. The victim was knocked to the ground where he was hit by two more cars, he said.
No one else was injured. All lanes of the westbound freeway were closed for more than three hours, Ferrier said.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
