BUENA PARK — A 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were wounded early Friday morning in what police believe was a drive-by shooting.
The victims, who were identified only as Buena Park residents, were each shot once as they stood on the 5800 block of Kingman Avenue at about 1:15 a.m. They were taken to West Anaheim Medical Center. Their wounds did not appear to be serious, said Police Lt. Patrick Black.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving several 911 calls from residents who heard the gunfire. Police found the victims lying on the ground, Black said.
Police investigators suspect that the incident was a drive-by shooting, but so far the victims have refused to give police a full accounting of what happened, Black said.
