Sales Heat Up in August for Leslie’s Poolmart

Leslie’s Poolmart said its sales surged again in August, a key month for the Chatsworth-based retailer of swimming pool supplies.
Preliminary figures indicate sales for the month of August were $14.6 million, up 16% from $12.6 million in August, 1993. For the eight months, sales were $113 million, up 18% from $96.5 million in the same period the previous year.
