Canucks Give King Rookie Cold Greeting

VANCOUVER — Rookie centers Mike Peca and Rick Girard had goals and Pavel Bure had three assists in the Vancouver Canucks’ 5-1 exhibition victory over the Kings on Monday night.
Greg Adams, Jose Charbonneau and Brian Glynn also scored for the Canucks. Ken Hodge scored for the Kings.
King rookie goalie Jamie Storr, selected seventh overall in the 1994 draft, gave up all five goals after replacing rookie starter Pauli Jaks midway through the second period.
Adams opened the scoring late in the second period, beating Storr with a high backhand off a rebound on a two-man advantage. Girard, Charbonneau and Peca gave Vancouver a 4-0 lead before Hodge scored at 14:43 of the third.
Glynn completed the scoring on the power play with 2:17 left.
