Death Row Prisoner Is Executed in Texas

HUNTSVILLE, Tex. — A 29-year-old ex-welder was executed by injection early Friday for killing a jewelry store clerk during a robbery.
“I just love everybody. That’s it,” was Jessie Gutierrez’s final statement. He was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m.
