COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Foltz Leads Golden West in Volleyball

Becca Foltz, playing for the first time this season, had 11 kills to help Golden West to a three-game sweep of host Moorpark in a nonconference women’s volleyball match Tuesday.
Foltz missed Golden West’s first two matches because of a pulled stomach muscle. Vanessa Dahl added 10 kills for the Rustlers, who have won 30 consecutive matches and 95 of its last 97.
In Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:
Golden West 1, Rancho Santiago 0--Stephanie Pryor scored for host Golden West (2-2, 1-0).
Cypress 3, San Diego Mesa 1--Pam Prine, Kim Wyer and Traci Osman scored second-half goals for host Cypress (3-0, 1-0).
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Orange Coast 3, Cuyamaca 1--Jim Hicks, a freshman from Newport Harbor, scored twice for host OCC (3-1-1).
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Cypress 5, Los Angeles Harbor 0--Daniel Buda scored three first-half goals for Cypress (1-0-2).
Irvine Valley 3, Moorpark 0--Chris Rosetti, John Gerdis and Tim Wilson scored for Irvine Valley (3-1-1).
In nonconference water polo:
Fullerton 8, Rancho Santiago 7--Paul Marceau broke a 7-7 tie with goal with about three minutes left to play for host Fullerton. Tony Sholl had scored a two-pointer to give Fullerton a 7-6 lead earlier in the quarter.
Saddleback 20, College of the Desert 15--K.C. Nance scored 10 goals to help Saddleback win a nonconference match at home. Cameron Sharp contributed four goals for Saddleback (2-4).
