THE REGION : Quake Workshops to Cover Safety Measures

Workshops on learning to reduce earthquake damage are now being held throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
The workshops address methods for strengthening a home’s foundation and preventive measures inside the home, including securing water heaters, furniture and cabinet drawers.
They are being conducted at Earthquake Service Centers in various locations through Oct. 11.
