An agency to assist the homeless is scheduled to open Oct. 3 in Santa Monica.
Chrysalis, a group based in Downtown Los Angeles, received $145,000 from Santa Monica to cover operational costs for a center at 612 Colorado Blvd.
The facility, which is under construction, is to have four full-time staff members and a computer system available to help homeless people search for jobs.
