Troll Company Makes Koosh Deal: The creator of the popular Koosh toys has sold the company to a New Jersey company that makes troll dolls. Russ Berrie & Co. announced this week that it has purchased Oddzon Products for an undisclosed price and plans to continue selling the products under the same name. Oddzon nets about $30 million annually in revenue on the sale of the popular, no-bounce balls made of spaghetti-thin rubber strands, in addition to several other spinoff toys. Analysts said Oddzon’s market stability may help Russ Berrie overcome losses it suffered after its initially popular troll dolls fizzled. The $300-million company also designs and sells stuffed animals, picture frames and novelty gifts.
