LAKE FOREST — Persistence finally paid off for a Lake Forest woman, who won a Super Lotto jackpot Tuesday of $2.08 million.
Blanca Kobel, who declined interviews, has missed playing Super Lotto only four times in the past three years, according to Norma Minas, a state Lotto spokeswoman.
Kobel purchased her winning ticket at a Sav-On Drugs in Lake Forest. She split the $4.16-million jackpot with David and Julie Liedahl of Carson. He is a truck driver and she is a truck dispatcher, lottery officials said.
Within three weeks, Kobel and the Liedahls should receive the first of 20 annual checks for $104,000. After taxes, Kobel will keep $74,880, Minas said.
