The district attorney’s office announced Tuesday that it has opened a criminal investigation into allegations of voter registration fraud in Burbank, Pasadena and Glendale.
District attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said several people have been interviewed and that the investigation should be completed in two weeks.
The inquiry was started at the request of the County Board of Supervisors after Registrar-Recorder Bea Valdez confirmed several instances of voter fraud reported by the media. The fraud ranged from a dog being registered to discoveries that 11 people were improperly registered at one address.
