COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — A cargo ship carrying 4,000 automobiles caught fire Friday and sank in the Indian Ocean, but all 22 South Korean crew members were rescued, port officials said.
Two tug boats were unable to go near the Magnolia Ace or extinguish the blaze, officials said.
The ship was 17 miles off the coastal town of Galle, which is 110 miles south of Colombo.
