GIRLS’ TENNIS PLAYOFF ROUNDUP : Nordhoff Surprises No. 2 Duarte, 10-8

Haley Wilbur won two of three singles matches and the doubles team of Brianna Blum and Shelby Smith swept three matches as Nordhoff High upset second-seeded Duarte, 10-8, in the second round of the Southern Section Division V playoffs Saturday at Duarte.
Calabasas 12, Arcadia 6--Shera Weigler, Debbie Pepkowitz and Amanda Cey each won their three singles matches to lead the Coyotes (14-4) to a Southern Section Division II second-round victory at Arcadia (17-1).
La Reina 16, Desert 2--Freshman Kristin Dickey did not lose a game while leading host La Reina (13-3) in a Division V second-round match at North Ranch Country Club.
