Fire Destroys 2 Vehicles, Damages 4 Carports

ANAHEIM — A fire early Sunday morning damaged four carports and destroyed two vehicles at an apartment complex on State College Boulevard.
Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the 1 a.m. blaze. A fire spokesman estimated the cost of the damages at about $20,000. No one was injured.
The fire occurred at the Chaparral apartment complex at 1221 N. State College Boulevard.
When firefighters arrived at the scene just after 1 a.m., four carports in the apartment complex were burning.
It took 37 firefighters about 10 minutes to contain the blaze, the spokesman said.
No dwellings were damaged in the blaze.
