Faith Baptist Draws Rematch for 8-Man Title
- Share via
The regular season and playoffs apparently served as nothing more than a formality for the eight-man football teams at Faith Baptist and Brentwood highs.
For the second year in a row, the Delphic League foes will meet for the Southern Section championship, playing today at 1 p.m. at Brentwood.
Faith Baptist (9-1) would love to hand Brentwood (10-0) its first defeat of the season and avenge two consecutive losses to the Eagles, including a defeat in last year’s title game.
Earlier this season, Brentwood beat Faith Baptist, 34-18, after leading, 34-0.
But quarterback Judd Granzow has Faith Baptist’s offense rolling. Faith Baptist beat Lone Pine, 52-0, in a semifinal last week with Granzow throwing three touchdown passes and running for two more in just one-half of play.
The game was called because one team led by more than 45 points at halftime.
