BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Valley Romps to Tournament Championship

Lamar Thompson scored 16 points as Valley College won the Las Vegas Invitational with a 75-55 victory over San Diego Mesa on Saturday.
Ricky Steele contributed 13 points and six rebounds, and Michael Farmer added 13 points, eight assists and five steals for Valley (7-2).
Cal Lutheran 102, Pacific Christian 75--Derrick Clark scored 27 points to lead the host Kingsmen in a nonconference game.
WOMEN
Ventura 69, Cypress 53--Marina Reyes scored 19 points and won most valuable player honors as Ventura (7-1) won the Cypress tournament title. Tori Anderson added 16 points.
Cal Lutheran 75, San Francisco State 68--Kelli McCaskill had 17 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Regals (5-0) to their best start in school history.
BOYS
Crespi 70, Camarillo 64--Gianandrea Marcaccini scored 26 points for Crespi (2-1) in the third-place game of the San Luis Obispo tournament.
GIRLS
Monroe 58, Taft 48--Sisters Lindsay and Shirley Sotero-Higa each scored 10 points in the final of the Eagle Rock tournament.
Moorpark 43, Oak Park 42--Tracey Milburn scored eight of her 16 points in the final period, when the Musketeers outscored Oak Park, 12-2, to win the consolation final of the Fillmore tournament.
