Claremont Defeats Chapman, 67-63

Chapman’s Melody Earle had a game-high 21 points and added five steals but it wasn’t enough as the Panthers lost to host Claremont, 67-63, Sunday in a nonconference women’s basketball game.

Debbie Nilsen and Alana Conyers each scored 10 points for the Panthers (1-3). Mindy Bagatelos and Amy Cleveland each scored 17 points to lead Claremont Mudd-Scripps (6-0).
