Colorado’s Fauria Earns Recognition

Christian Fauria of the University of Colorado was named an Associated Press third-team All-American on Wednesday.
Fauria is a senior tight end who graduated from Crespi High in 1990.
Colorado will play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 2.
Girls’ Softball
Ashlie Hayes of Northridge has signed a national letter of intent to play softball at the University of Massachusetts, the school announced.
Hayes, a senior, attends Chaminade High but will play club softball rather than compete for the Eagles this season, Chaminade Coach Tom Fewless said.
