In nonconference men’s basketball:

Concordia 70, Mt. Mercy 68--Craig Martin scored 17 points and Jeff Putnam added 15 to lead Concordia (7-1).

Pharoh Jones also had 13 points for Concordia.

Mt. Mercy’s Dave Olson was the game’s leading scorer with 19 points. Corby Laube also had 16 points for Mt. Mercy (4-8).

Southern California College 95, Pomona-Pitzer College 84--Chris Kostoff (Capistrano Valley High) scored 34 points and Chauncey Woolridge (Santa Ana High) had 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead Southern California College (6-4).

In nonconference women’s basketball:

Cal State Dominguez Hills 68, Southern California College 62--Faye Hagen scored 22 points to lead visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills (7-1). Alisha Blomker led Southern California College with 17 points.

In nonconference wrestling:

Nebraska 38, Cal State Fullerton 6--The Cornhuskers, ranked No. 2 in the preseason polls, were led by Blake Roller, who pinned Raul Huerta in 48 seconds in the 158-pound class. Other Nebraska pins came from Jason Reitmeyr at 134 and Chad Nelson at 168. Fullerton’s only victory was by Phillip Guerrero, who won by forfeit in the 190-pound class.
