The Cal State Northridge women’s basketball team hit the floor with hopes of getting its first victory of the season Wednesday.
The Matadors (0-9) hit the floor, but not much else in a 90-65 nonconference road loss to San Jose State. CSUN shot 37.3% and made only seven of 21 free throws while the Spartans enjoyed the 25-point victory.
San Jose State improved to 2-6.
Guard Kari Steele led the Spartans with 14 points, seven assists and seven rebounds.
