World IN BRIEF : ISRAEL : Rabin’s Killer Says Jail Cell Is Too Cold

Yigal Amir, the religious Jew who confessed to killing Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in November, asked a court to move him to a different jail, saying that his cell at a prison in southern Israel is too cold and that the food he is being served is not strictly kosher, Israeli radio said. According to the radio, Amir also complained about his solitary confinement and asked to be allowed to pray in the standard Jewish quorum of 10 adult men as well as meet with a rabbi.
