SEASON AT A GLANCE: Harper, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound swingman, is the only returning full-time starter for Canoga Park, which has gone from an unknown, unranked entity to The Times’ No. 2 team in the region. Harper, the fifth-best rebounder (13 a game) in the region last season, is an aggressive player who has been instrumental in the Hunters’ climb.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Harper was the focal point of Canoga Park’s championship run in last week’s Hart tournament. He scored 25 points against Palmdale, 38 against Highland, 28 against Antelope Valley and 23 against Hart in the championship game. He averaged 28.5 points and was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
