Oxnard and Port Hueneme residents who subscribe to Jones Intercable Inc. of Oxnard will pay about a dollar more a month for their cable service beginning March 1.
The price for limited basic service with 25 channels--including ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox--has increased from $12.84 to $13.04, while the restricted basic service that also includes the Family Channel, ESPN and USA will increase from $6.31 to $7.26.
Jones Intercable, which serves about 42,000 subscribers in the region, decided to raise cable rates because of increases in several licensing fees, said Bill Rivas, a spokesman for the company.
