The Police Department’s Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol program, known as RSVP, will soon get a refurbished police car for its members to use.
The Fullerton Neighborhood Watch Assn. has donated $1,500 for the refurbishing. At a City Council meeting this month, members of the group were commended for their gift.
The donation is not the first from the Neighborhood Watch group. In the past, the association has given computers for police substations, money for the canine unit and $3,000 for the RSVP program.
